Telepost SACCO (formerly Posta SACCO) started in 1969 as a welfare organization for the subordinate staff of the then Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (KP&TC).They currently have 4,359 members from the following organizations: Telkom Kenya, Postal Corporation of Kenya, Multimedia University College of Kenya, Telepost SACCO employees, non-core bond members, and former members of the above entities, their spouses, and dependents are also part of the membership.

The minimum monthly contributions are KES 2,000 for normal shares (deposits), KES 500 for education shares, and KES 300 for the benevolent fund.
