Vision Afrika SACCO Ltd., formally Gilgil SACCO Ltd., was registered as a saving and credit cooperative society on November 22, 2004 (CS No. 10624). A pioneering group of traders in Gilgil came up with the idea of pooling their resources together to create a basket from which they could access loans at affordable rates and avoid the exploitative mushrooming of shylocks and financial institutions.
It was licensed by SASRA as Deposit-Taking SACCO (DTS) in 2014.

The SACCO has over 30,000 members and four physical branches located in Nakuru, Gilgil, Naivasha, and Molo town. 
The SACCO serves business people, salaried members, and farmers, providing a wide range of credit and savings products in both BOSA and FOSA.
